The professional band The Foo Fighters performed in Pittsburgh on August 25 and Indianapolis on August 27. Their tour skipped Cincinnati, but on August 26, Mason’s School of Rock performed in their place.

On the evening of August 26, School of Rock lit up the 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati with a tribute to The Foo Fighters. The group of 23, between ages 11-18, performed 22 songs written by The Foo Fighters. They had invited the band, attempting to contact them through letters and social media.

The show was a benefit for the School of Rock Scholarship Fund, a public charity that provides scholarship money for music education at rock music schools for children who cannot afford it across the U.S. The funds raised at this concert went specifically to help children in the Greater Cincinnati area.
