For Mason it was senior night, and they provided a perfect way to finish the season. The Comets went down to score on their first drive, but the middies answered on their second play with a 81 yard touchdown. The Comets responded quickly though, as they scored right before the end of the first quarter to make it 14-7.  With about four minutes left in the half, the Comets made a key stop on fourth down while Middletown was inside the red zone. The Comets quickly went down and scored another Touchdown, but missed the extra point to be up 20-7 at half. The Comets scored 21 more points in the second half while allowing two fourth quarter touchdowns and a two point conversion sealing the victory in the seniors final home game, making the final score 41-22. The Comets will hope to finish the regular season on a strong note when they go to Princeton.
